PayFlex Names Steve Franzen Chief Information Officer
Seasoned Technology leader to build upon leading Consumer Driven Administrative Enterprise system

Omaha, NE, Sept 17, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- PayFlex Systems USA, Inc., a leading administrator for employee benefit programs, today announced that Steven Franzen has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO) for all PayFlex operations. Franzen will be responsible and will oversee all technology areas including software development and network infrastructure.

Mr. Franzen brings more than 20 years of experience focused in the technical and software development arenas. Most recently, he served as the senior engineer over client systems at publicly traded Union Pacific, a Fortune 200 Corporation, with a market cap of over $30 Billion. During his tenure with Union Pacific, Mr. Franzen was responsible for leading the transition from outdated technologies to highly functional, streamlined, and cost-effective technologies. “I am thrilled we are able to have someone of Steve’s caliber and background join our team, said Mark Huber, President and CEO of PayFlex. In his role at Mutual of Omaha, Franzen was responsible for designing the entire corporate messaging and collaboration infrastructure that supported their 24x7 “always open” business model.
